Different opinions, but common values and goals
As if the #BoycottStarWarsVII drama wasn´t enough already…Anyhow, I couldn´t help to notice that Markus “Notch” Persson brought a whole lot of focus on himself last night. And I´m not talking about all the drama concerning his money, Minecraft or his decision to sell Mojang to Microsoft (“Notch” made headlines all over the world just recently, when he spoke up about the fact that he was depressed and unhappy even though all his wealth and success). No I´m talking about last night’s Twitter drama between Notch and Milo Yiannopoulos, which all boiled down to thoughts on #GamerGate and SJWs. Apparently Notch didn´t like that Milo tweeted #GamerGate (or SJW) related content to him, thus the following conversation on Twitter:

Markus Persson got quite annoyed with Milo Yiannopoulos last night. However, they sorted everything out in the end.

Everyone has the right to hold an opinion, and Notch shared his opinions about GG and SJWs last night.
Why can´t we all just get along?
Normally, I don´t engage in e-celebrity drama kind of activities. However, I made an exception in this case. As it´s the first time that I´ve ever seen Notch speak up about GG and the SJWs. Anyhow, as I was saying, even though the conversation between Milo and Notch started off rather dark and bitter. Things mellowed out along the way, and it was not “just” Notch and Milo that shared their thoughts on #GamerGate, SJWs and the video game industry either. As there were plenty of people from all sides (antiGG, #GamerGate, neutrals, etc.) that picked up the ball after Milo´s and Notch conversation had ended. And from what I could tell from all of Notch tweets, he has a neutral stand on #GamerGate (his not with or against them, he did criticized GG while talking to Milo though). Nevertheless, it appears as if Notch still holds some GG values despite his critique against them (anti-censorship, anti-corruption in the video game industry, wants good ethical standards, etc.).
So I have to say that the aftermath (and the outcome) of the conversation were more positive than negative. As Notch and Milo cleared the air from quite a lot of drama due to this. Not everyone will agree with me on this of course, but I would still recommend you to read all the tweets from all sides on this topic (you will find all the tweets in the links down below). As you will get a pretty good overview of what all the different sides thought about Notch and Milo´s conversation.
However, before you do that. I should point out that Notch has been under heavy media focus for quite sometime now (it pretty much started when Microsoft bought Mojang for 2.5 billion dollars back in September last year). I´m not trying to protect Notch or anything now, but please keep that in mind before you judge him. As I could imagine that Notch has been exposed to a lot of stress as of lately.
With that said, what´s your thoughts on what Notch said to Milo Yiannopoulos? Let us know in the comment section down below!
