Sometimes I don´t know if I should laugh or cry at stuff like this, but even though I (we) have been using Twitter for over five years now. I had no idea (whatsoever) that Twitter had an abuse and harassing report system (it seems like Twitter have rolled out that change just recently, as people have just found out about it´s existence). So what does the system do then? Well, it basically allows you to report people for harassing, stalking and abusive behavior on Twitter. Don´t get me wrong now, it´s of course not alright to send death threats, racist slurs and such to anyone. However, “some” people might use Twitter’s abuse report system to troll and get people banned on Twitter (oh the irony). And due to the fact that Twitter has become something of an SJW magnet, people are worried the SJWs will use Twitter´s report service for censorship activites. Not only that, I´m somewhat concerned myself, because trolls and haters might use these tools against us. And one should also keep in mind that the Google ideas and UN scandal went down just recently as well (#Googleabuse, #cyberviolence).

So it´s probably a lot easier to get someone banned on Twitter now, then it was before all the rants about #cyberviolence. I´m also rather curious to know how Twitter handles these harassment and abuse reports? For example, where does the line between online abuse and trolling go? Will one get a warning of any kind? And do you get a chance to defend yourself if someone reports you for abuse behavior to Twitter? At this time, I have no idea. I will try to find some answers for my own questions though.
