Press release:
PITTSBURGH, PA — June 23, 2026 — Creative-first publisher Mega Cat Studios has released a new Zombies Ate My Neighbors tribute video interview with veteran game industry artist Bill Tiller, in support of the ongoing Lethal Wedding Kickstarter campaign, which has now surpassed 300% of its funding goal.
The interview carries extra weight for fans tracking Lethal Wedding’s biggest influence, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, as Tiller appears in that very game as a hidden character, making his involvement in Lethal Wedding feel less like a guest appearance and more like a long-overdue reunion.
Tiller’s nearly 40-year career in the games industry started at LucasArts during the height of the studio’s influence, where his credits included The Dig, Star Wars: Rebel Assault, and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. He’s perhaps best known for his work as background artist on 1997’s The Curse of Monkey Island, where he crafted some of the most enduring environments in adventure game history.
Throughout the wide-ranging interview, Tiller discusses how he approached Lethal Wedding’s pulpy, horror-inspired box art while reflecting on his decades in the industry and what drew him to Lethal Wedding’s marriage of horror, comedy, and clown-crazed carnage.
Today’s interview follows the release of Lethal Wedding’s Co-op & Weapons Gameplay Trailer, which spotlights the game’s over-the-top arsenal, ranging from a banana machine gun that peels apart the opposition to a bouquet that belches bombs, as players battle their way through the clown cartel.
“Creating Lethal Wedding’s silly but deadly arsenal was a mix of brainstorming weapon ideas that were thematically appropriate while still feeling dangerous and satisfying,” said Mega Cat Studios’ Game Director Zack Manko.
“Every weapon fulfills its own unique role and a hilarious side effect.”
For a look at these over-the-top tools of destruction, check out the new Lethal Wedding Registry page, which offers a rundown of some of the weapons players will wield in the game.
Lethal Wedding will release on the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive and Steam, with Kickstarter stretch goals now available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 & 5 versions of the game.
