Leamington Spa – September 30th, 2021.
Operatives from the future have appeared in Secret Mode’s Bunker and directed us to announce a new partnership with hugely talented indie developer Cosmonaut Studios to publish the story-driven time-manipulation puzzler “Eternal Threads” (which is coming to PC in March next year via Steam).

Hailing from Liverpool, England, Cosmonaut Studios is a small collective of industry veterans and talented newcomers with dozens of games under their belts – and even a BAFTA to prove it. Its latest game Eternal Threads is a “single-player, first-person story-driven puzzle game of time manipulation, choice and consequence.”

“Eternal Threads has this utterly compelling story, which grabbed us all from the start,” said James Schall, Secret Mode’s Director of Publishing.

“It combines wonderful character-driven story telling with clever time-manipulation puzzles, a kind of narrative Rubik’s cube. As I played through the early builds I was blown away and had to find out more about what happened in that house!”

“We wanted a publisher who understood Eternal Threads,” said Cosmonauts’ Creative Director Paul Johnson.

“Secret Mode’s enthusiasm for Eternal Threads really impressed us – they clearly understood what we were trying to achieve. We look forward to working with them to bring Eternal Threads to a wider audience.”

In Eternal Threads, as an operative tasked with fixing corruption in the timestream, you have been sent to the North of England in May 2015, where six people died in a house fire. Prohibited from simply stopping the fire, you must instead manipulate the choices made by the housemates in the week leading up to it so that they all survive the event.

Eternal Threads will be featured as part of Steam’s Next Fest from October 1st – 7th with a demo available to play during the event.
