Press release:
Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 31st, 2025.
The Buenos Aires-based (Argentina) indie games publisher Tlön Industries and Vicente López-based (Argentina) indie games developer Montraluz, today announced with great joy and thrill that their surreal body-cam psychological horror game ‘Dreamcore’, is getting a brand-new expansion in the shape of the ‘Liminal Hotel’ DLC chapter via Steam on November 14th, 2025.
Liminal Hotel presents the definitive version of the famed “level 188” backrooms meme, offering a wide variety of styles within the rooms. Through elevators, you will traverse the hotel floor to floor and as you go down, you’ll see how the hotel’s atmosphere becomes unstuck in time, full of oddities and antiquities.
Liminal Hotel marks a before and after in the way maps are created in Dreamcore, introducing deep changes and new directions the community has been clamoring for all this time. This latest chapter will tone down the puzzles that stifled progression for much of the fanbase.
Since Liminal Hotel adds significantly more content to the game, the cost of Dreamcore will rise from $11.99 to $14.99. However, anyone who buys Dreamcore before November 14th will receive Liminal Hotel and its impending fifth and final chapter at no additional cost!
“Hotels are inherently unnerving spaces, as they are by nature unfamiliar lodgings that bump up against our routine, domestic homes,” said Valentín Iribarren, Game Creator at Montraluz.
“We wanted to play around with this further, blowing out the strange, creepy atmosphere of an away stay into the kind of unpredictable, haunting nightmare abyss that has made The Shining such a cultural icon. We hope it stirs the imagination in the most unsettling of ways!”
More about Dreamcore:
Dreamcore sets players loose to explore a multitude of extraordinary, expansive worlds based around labyrinths of liminal spaces. Loosely inspired by the “backrooms” memes, Dreamcore offers a one-of-a-kind experience to probe these nonlinear realms, with each world featuring a unique puzzle players must solve in order to locate its exit.
Developed in Unreal Engine 5, each of Dreamcore’s worlds offers a hazy, twisted memory of the 1980s, complete with the grainy aesthetic of found footage VHS tapes. Navigate intricately linked structures and captivating landscapes, where every environment encourages unparalleled adventures and exploration. Each map presents a vast range of possibilities, delivering entirely distinct experiences.
