The dark fantasy narrative deck-builder by developer The Rat Project and publisher Daedalic Entertainment invites players to explore a mysterious world shaped by emotion, magic, and difficult choices. The pre-orders for Nintendo Switch will open on April 1, 2026.

Blending story-driven adventure with deck-building mechanics, Magin: The Rat Project Stories follows the intertwined fates of its protagonists through a world where every decision carries weight. Players build and evolve their decks while navigating a branching narrative filled with atmospheric locations, strange characters, and a deep, layered lore centered around the mysterious “Essence.”

About Magin: The Rat Project Stories

Magin is the story of two characters – Elester and Tolen – Magins, mediums of the essence. Though they have few things in common, they are bound by a fate neither suspects. The engrossing story is filled with difficult decisions to make and multiple endings to determine. The world of Magin is both rich and mysterious, full of multidimensional characters, atmospheric locations, and horrible creatures. It is at a point in history where medieval culture is confronted with the invention of industrial, magic-powered machines, and the forces that seek to control them.
