Press release:
London, 19th September 2017: Martial arts retro game Okinawa Rush, has succeeded in reaching its Kickstarter goal and is now set for launch later this year. The game, created by indie developers Sokaikan, is an action RPG that draws inspiration from the classic martial arts films of the 70’s and 80’s, along with retro beat-‘em-up arcade games such as Double Dragon and Street Fighter.

London-based video game marketing agency BeefJack Promote was approached after 10 days of the campaign being live, when the Kickstarter had only obtained funds of 12% of its target. Thanks to the combined efforts of the agency’s crowdfunding specialists, the final Kickstarter goal of £10,000 was met comfortably the day before the campaign ended, ending on a final tally of £10,745 when the 30 day deadline was reached. Scattered with Easter Eggs and unique special moves, Okinawa Rush grew a vibrant community over the course of the Kickstarter campaign, who are all eager to play the game. Estimated for release later this year for PC, Okinawa Rush is now set for development on additional platforms, including the PS4 and Xbox One.
