The Wakefield-based (the UK) indie games publisher/developer Team 17 and Osnabrück -based (Germany) indie games developer 1000 Orks, are today very happy and proud to announce that their fantasy inspired base defence/RTS game “WARCANA“, is coming to PC via Steam on August 15th, 2024.

This fact allows players to take up the mantle of a formidable magician battling hordes of chaotic monstrous enemies. To celebrate this news, you can prepare for the upcoming chaos with the new WARCANA Demo that is live right now and will be playable for one week.

The new demo will include access to some brand-new features and game modes including Battle Royale, Stream Sniper, Deckbuilding and Smite Ability.

Key features of this demo:

In Battle Royale, players can participate in epic battles with up to 30 others, each competing against two opponents at the same time.

Stream Sniper is a 1 vs 29 mode that features a unique game experience. The host will be able to set special modifiers that impact the game’s balance along with global settings like round time, map choice and more.

The team have heard your war cry for having the ability to create your own decks. The Occultism, Void Forging and Fay Calling devotions are now available within the Deck-builder.

WARCANA is a fantasy inspired base defense, RTS game with a deck-building mechanic. Face hundreds of thousands of unrelenting monsters in a battle royale between 30 other mighty magicians. To stay up to date follow the game on Steam and X.
