Pet Project Games and 3D Realms are today very happy pleased to announce that their sci-fi co-op horror FPS, RIPOUT, is now available to buy after hitting its 1.0 release following a successful Early Access period.

In RIPOUT, you wield a living Pet Gun and fight your way through abandoned mutant infested spaceships. These genetically altered beings grow stronger and reconfigure themselves by attaching smaller mutants to their bodies, so you never know quite what you are up against.

Engage in quick-action packed missions always offering new challenges thanks to procedurally generated levels that mean you will never know what’s around the corner. Customise your weapon and choose between multiple character specialisations to suit your playstyle and stand your ground using your trusty Pet Gun against deadly mutants.

Ripout is set in the 22nd Century, an era where humanity has reached beyond Earth to conquer the solar system. An interplanetary revolution for humanity began, but it would quickly turn disastrous. This new expansion was greeted with new threats, as Alien forces emerged and threatened this new golden age. Desperate to find a way to keep them at bay, humanity developed a cell that regenerated soldiers’ tissue at superhuman speeds. But the cell turned sentient, causing those soldiers to transform into gruesome and bloodthirsty mutants.

With humanity’s saviour now fast becoming their downfall, soldiers are deployed using the latest in biotech weaponry to deal with the mutants that have overtaken its fleet of battleships, turning them into derelict and deadly graveyards. Unravel the fate of humanity as you search for the mythical Sanctuary. Where, or even what, it is, no one really knows. It’s up to you to find out…
