Press release:
16 SEPTEMBER 2021 –
Developer Tunermaxx have launched their narrative colour-matching puzzler Rainbow Reactor: Fusion on Oculus Quest today.

As a follow-up to the original VR hit Rainbow Reactor, Fusion introduces story-driven exploration and an exciting mystery plot to the classic match-3 gameplay of its predecessor.

Guided by a disgruntled robot, Dottie, players will arrive at an abandoned factory – the sole export of which is rainbow energy, the cleanest around! (Probably.)

Between levels of frantic colour matching fun, players will face environmental puzzles and dangerous hazards, with only a sceptical robot for company. Rainbow Reactor: Fusion is a game full of personality, featuring wacky characters to love (or hate), multiple gameplay modes to suit any mood and a central mystery for players to uncover.

Together with the help of Dottie, players must clean up the mess, solve the mystery of the factory founder’s disappearance and bring colour back to the Rainbow Reactor. No pressure… right?

“The goal with our first title, Rainbow Reactor, was to make something that was ‘easy to understand but hard to master’, so that even people who try VR – or even just games – for the first time can jump right into it, while offering a sophisticated scoring system to keep it interesting for skilled players.” Game Designer Kalle Max Hofmann said, “

After that game found its success and a base of dedicated fans, we are very excited to be featured on Oculus Quest with a greatly expanded version of the game! We fused the true-and-tested Match-3 gameplay with a captivating action-adventure story that has players fixing up the Rainbow Reactor building and solving the mystery of its downfall on the way.”

Rainbow Reactor: Fusion is out now on Oculus Quest priced at £14.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 and will be coming to Steam VR later this year.
