The Indie game development studio Bert Games today announced with great joy and thrill that their open-world survival crafting RPG “Surviving Skeleton Island“, is coming to PC via Steam Early Access sometime next year (2025).

Surviving Skeleton Island is an immersive game set on a mysterious island filled with dangers, resources, and hidden treasures. Players hunt, gather, and craft essential tools and weapons while exploring biomes, uncovering secrets, and facing challenging dungeons and bosses, all shaped by player choices in exploration, combat, and survival strategies.

Players encounter ghostly characters, complete quests, brew potions, enchant weapons, and unlock magical abilities while taming pets, riding mounts, and building rafts to explore nearby islands. They also gather resources, craft gear, build defenses, and survive attacks from skeletal enemies and wildlife in a unique blend of survival and RPG mechanics.

Developed by indie creator Bertus Engelbrecht, Surviving Skeleton Island combines realistic survival elements with a flexible sandbox world, deep lore, and player-driven choices, shaped by community feedback to appeal to both new and experienced players.

The full version of the game will include additional content influenced by community feedback during Early Access, such as an expanded world with more enemies, NPCs, and quests, along with further polishing, balancing, and bug fixing.
