Las Vegas, NV –July 14, 2022.
The Las-Vegas-based (the US) indie games developer Smol Beans Studio (Jeeve Javari) today announced with great pride and delight that their wacky adventure RPG “Tails From Alteria” is now over 100% fully funded on Kickstarter! (the game is currently in development for PC, and is set for a release via Steam on July 3rd, 2023).

And it’s all thanks to the support of 144 backers, that the solo indie game developer Smol Beans Studio exceeded its initial goal of $10,000 and raised $11,871 to fully fund the production of “Tails From Alteria” on Kickstarter.

Tails From Alteria is a wacky adventure RPG for Steam with a heavy emphasis on exploration and action command combat.

The world of Tails From Alteria is littered with nooks and crannies for you to explore and engaging encounters to test your reflexes. Control the twin foxes Jeeve and Jayla as they race to stop an extra-dimensional evil from pouring into their world.

Features:

Story:
Alteria is a vast land made up of descendants that survived a terrible calamity. When their original home was destroyed by a dimensional rift the survivors poured into the 3rd dimension and found it occupied by hostile creatures called the ‘3Demons.’ The refugees fought against the 3Demons and were successful in driving them from the dimension, but success came with a cost.

The seal used to protect Alteria from the 3Demons will only hold for 100 years before it opens and the creatures rush forth again. The world does its’ best to fight back and stop the invasion, but every generation Alteria’s numbers become fewer and fewer. This upcoming invasion is the last cycle before the world is completely overrun and there aren’t enough animals to fully stop it.

Follow Jeeve and Jayla as they fight to keep their world from being overrun and find a permanent solution to the seal.

Mechanics:
Tails From Alteria is an action RPG that takes inspiration from the Mario & Luigi series along with Paper Mario. The dynamic between the siblings is a huge focus and one that is necessary for success. See how their teamwork across different mechanics leads to victory.

Combat:
In combat your timing for attacks is everything. Jeeve and Jayla each have a button assigned to them for their actions. Knowing when to press this button will be key in battle. For their standard double pounce attack, it’s right before they land on an enemy.

The twins also have their signature sibling moves! These are duo attacks that are stronger than their normal ones, but the action command timing will be different and require you to really pay attention to the timing.

Exploration:
The world is your playground! The environment is an open sandbox for you to explore, filled with interactable objects, puzzles, and challenges to overcome. Some objects can be picked up and carried by the twins! Use these objects to solve problems or toss them at enemies to gain an edge in combat!

Like in combat, the twins can also use sibling moves in the overworld to overcome obstacles! Use the twin tunnel to burrow underneath objects or the twin trampoline to perform acrobatic leaps! Be sure to be on the lookout for where these abilities can be used! The world is filled with nooks and crannies for you to uncover.
