Before I kick-off my review, I’m going to give you (the reader) a little insight on the story aspect/setting of “Slaves of Rome”. So with that said, Biggus Dickus Games real-time adult 3D game “Slaves of Rome” starts off in the following way:

Yes, you can buy and sell slaves in “Slaves of Rome” (thus the name of the game). There’s even an online auction house for slave trading with other players.

As a former soldier who has just returned from war (as it’s 20 AD, which war is unknown. However, Servius Sulpicius Galba would be the Roman praetor. Fun fact there). Being a slave trader, you return back to reclaim everything that was lost.

Every slave in “Slaves of Rome” has his and her unique set of abilities and a unique skill tree.

At the start of the game, you can pick from one out of two different slaves – being an equal-opportunity slave trader. You have a choice of male or female (as would be the custom at that time). The other two slaves are out of your starting price range.

This is what Julia’s skill set looks like (there are quite a lot of different skills to pick from).

And once you have chosen your slave, he (or she) is delivered to your villa, where you can start training them in how to be a good slave, making sure that they fear and love you in equal measure. In other words, once you feel that you need an upgrade. You can sell a slave on the open market, hopefully making a profit in doing so, and thus buy a new one.

You can create some rather crazy characters in “Slaves of Rome” (a very lewd version of “The Sims” character creation tool set comes to mind).

Each slave has an initial set of abilities, which, presumably in the full game; you can upgrade or change.

In addition to be a slave’s skill set, you can visit the local temple and praying to the statue of an unidentified god (which means spending money). You can enhance the body of a slave to your ideal. A lot of these options are only available when you support the developer, though.

The demo version of “Slaves of Rome” is limited to what you can and cannot do on the lewd front. Nevertheless, the demo still does offer some interesting possibilities.

Making sure your slave is well-disciplined is done through a mixture of sex and punishment. Initiating either of these is done through a set of dialogues, which branch into either the sex or punishment part.

Making sure your slave is “well fed” before she tires, increases her value. This is done by timing space bar presses to the thrusting animation. It takes a bit of getting used to, but eventually it all comes together pretty well.

If you’re into BDSM content, then you should find great joy in the BDSM aspects of “Slaves of Rome”.

The demo version is limited to what you can do sexually, but the list does present some interesting possibilities. It does also limit where you can go, which, by all accounts, looks like quite a big area.

The punishment part involves your slave being whipped (possibly other implements being available in the supports edition) until you agree to stop or either of you run out of endurance.

“Slaves of Rome”certainly feels like Rome, and that even though everyone around you speaks and understands English perfectly.

You can, however, stroll around, and even now. The graphics are very nice, and whilst the game not being absolutely historically accurate. You still get a good sense of the Roman life.

As for the control aspects of the game, Well…The controls are fine, although your character does jump rather funnily. The game is also pretty stable (although it did refuse to start once).

Yes, you can pick between two genders when you choose your character.

So in overall. I have to say that “Slaves Of Rome” is a rather interesting game, and could be well worth backing.

Especially if more is added to “Slaves Of Rome” over time. However, I would like to see some sort of story mode, or perhaps just interaction with other people, perhaps comparing slaves or doing a bit of slave swapping…

I really like what I’ve seen and experienced from “Slaves of Rome” so far. However, the game is far from flawless. For example, the game isn’t exactly totally historically accurate, and the “Slaves of Rome” demo is censored as well.

Simply put, if you like the idea of playing a +18 erotic RPG/training simulation game that has a Roman slave/BDSM setting to it, then “Slaves of Rome” is the game for you (you can download and try the game for five USD via Patreon).

Pros:
+ Very nice graphics
+ Sound effects are decent, and the limited character voices is okay
+ Controls are responsive, you can move quickly
+ Menu system is clear and easy to use.

Cons:
– Not totally historically accurate
– The demo is, of course, limited, so you don’t get to see the other interesting things
– May not be to everyone’s taste (especially historians)
– The demo is censored

It’s going to be really interesting to see what Biggus Dickus Games will add to “Slaves of Rome” in the future to keep people interested in the game. You see, As of now, “Slaves of Rome” certainly worth looking into especially for those who are keen on experiencing Roman life) So if the game’s development can be kept up, then it could become a very popular lewd game development project with no doubt.
