Before I jump straight into Moonfish Games 18+ erotic sci-fi visual novel/adventure game “Space Rescue: Code Pink“, I’m just going to give you guys and girls a short briefing of the game’s backstory.
So here we go! When the Green Beetle “Rescue and Relax” ship responds to a Code Grey warning, whereby an employee from the local interstellar phone network is injured and her spacecraft is badly damaged, Keen, who is the Green Beetle’s repair technician, is assigned to fix it.

“Space Rescue: Code Pink” looks and feels like a lewd mix of “Space Quest”, “Red Dwarf” and “Futurama”.
However, this plan is side-tracked by a fellow crew member who wants to do a nude holoshoot. Space Rescue is a very amusing and bawdy visual novel that seems to be a cross between “Red Dwarf” and “Futurama”, although with a lot more adult situations.

Lune (one of the game’s hot space babes) wants to do a holoshoot to help a relative clean up Mars. Well, it’s your job to make it happen, and if you’re lucky, then you will get some “downtime” with her.
Gameplay-wise, “Space Rescue” is a Ren’Py visual novel with custom screens and has all the usual controls. Even so, what does make this game stand out from the crowd is its graphics.
You see, the game’s visuals are very nice, and that includes everything from the simple animated backgrounds to the facial expression of the characters (it’s all pretty much guaranteed to make you smile at least one time throughout the demo).

Say hello to the captain of the Green Beetle spaceship (nope, she has not been given a name just yet).
As for the lewd content. Well…The one sex scene that exists in the demo is nicely drawn and animated too, which makes things rather more interesting.

The lewd content and visuals are very well-made and good-looking in “Space Rescue: Code Pink”, and everything is uncensored from the very start as well (yay!).
So, what about the game’s story then? Well, the story is amusing and certainly doesn’t take itself seriously. Furthermore, there is a reference to a black screen that you come across, with the hint that the graphics for that part of the story haven’t been done yet.
There are a fair few things missing in this version of the game at the moment, though. For example, the story isn’t complete yet, and various mini-games need to be added.
There are also hints that there may possibly even be some drama along the way, as the captain is rather evasive when asked certain questions.

I sure hope that the final version of “Space Rescue” will offer even more lewd scenes such as this one, because the sex scenes are very well-made in the game’s latest demo.
The (few) characters you meet are nice, although the Captain is obviously hiding something. Lune is very nice in all aspects, so there is no doubts whatsoever that something will happen with her and Keen.
Other than that, it’s worth mentioning that you don’t get to see the person that gets rescued from the intro movie. So hopefully she will be introduced soon. At the moment, there are a few grammatical errors along with some spelling mistakes, which will hopefully be fixed soon.

Keen sure has the best job in the world. I mean, not only does he get to take photos of hot and nude women, but he also gets a chance to get down and dirty with them as well (you lucky bastard!).
In addition to this, there are a few places where nothing actually happens and you need to click to continue. These could probably just be removed as they are mostly redundant.
Now, as for some of the more positive aspects of the game. Space Rescue’s graphics are certainly nice – with very nicely detailed facial expression, some of which are quite funny. The same could also be said about the game’s intro sequence (which I find to be really good and neat).

“Space Rescue: Code Pink” got a lot of positives going for itself. However, there are a few things that are in need of fixing and fine-tuning. So hopefully that’s something that MoonfishGames will be able to do fix before the full release of the game.
“What about the lewd content then?” So you might wonder. Well, the sex scenes are simply animated, which makes a nice change. The few sound effects are okay and the music is nice if repetitive, although it does change in certain circumstances.

For some strange reason whatnot,”Space Rescue:” uses a 4:3 screen resolution…And that sure takes away quite a bit of the enjoyment of playing the game.
So, all in all, “Space Rescue: Code Pink ” is a fun and promising erotic visual novel. So if the game’s mini-games and story can be finished, then “Space Rescue” would be worth getting with no doubt (it’s also very likely that I would give “Space Rescue” a higher grade as well).
Pros:
+ Very amusing, and the game’s facial expressions are great.
+ The music is nice, but rather repetitive.
+ Good graphics, with a lot of detail (the animated backgrounds are nice as well).
+ Sexy babes.
+ Fun dialogs.
Cons:
– Some of the English is dodgy, and spelling mistakes are also present.
– Weird screen resolution.
– The demo is rather short and limited.
Gameplay: 3/5
Graphics: 4/5
Sound and music: 3/5
Controls: 3/5
Replay value: 3/5
Story: 4/5

Verdict: 3/5
“Space Rescue: Code Pink” is certainly of to a good start to a fun erotic visual novel. That’s also why it’s going to be interesting to see where the story goes if the developer keeps developing the game.
As a matter of fact, the only big downside of the game is its 4:3 screen resolution used, although it would probably be too much work to change now. Even so, “Space Rescue: Code Pink” is still very much worth trying at least.
