I don´t know about you boys and girls. But i really enjoy reading a good book every now and then. And i read all kinds of books really.
But most of the time, it´s either sci-fi, horror, tech or video game related books. However, most books that i own today. Are books on video game history, Gaming and such.
So i´m pretty excited about the upcoming book about the British video game developers Gremlin Interactive (Jungle Strike, Zool 1 and 2, Loaded, Litil Divil, Motorhead).
And it´s called “A gremlin in the works“. Which seems to be a super ambitious book project (by the looks of it).
The book itself is done by mr Mark James Hardisty (with the help of Ian Stewart´s pictures, screenshots and much more).
And from what i´ve been told, “A gremlin in the works” will feature a lot of “never-before-seen” pictures, stories and such.
So if you´re into British video game history (and Gremlin Interactive of course). Then keep your eyes (and ears) open for “A gremlin in the works”!
About A gremlin in the works:
“A Gremlin in the Works” charts Gremlin’s meteoric rise that would bring to life quintessential British gaming characters Monty Mole, Thing on a Spring, and Jack The Nipper in the 1980s; release ground-breaking series Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, Premier Manager and Actua Soccer in the 1990s; and would spawn world-leading development talent that would shape an industry.
Through candid interviews, and first-hand anecdotes from legendary developers, famed business “suits” and a few long-suffering wives, the book delivers a fresh and in-depth perspective on a much-loved and unique British developer and is chock-full of never-before-seen archive material, screenshots and photographs – mostly recovered from Ian Stewart’s loft.
