Ah, yes. Konami´s Metal Gear Solid 1 (PS1). I still remember when i played the game for the very first time back in 1999.

Because the graphics and gameplay really blew me away at the time, but MGS1 is now over 16 years old.

So how good is MGS 1 nowadays? I mean in comparison to the new games and the present market standards. Rather well so i must say.

One of the very best action/sneek-em-up games for PS1.

Sure, of course the graphics are outdated. But everything else is just as solid as it was back in 1999 (for better or worse).

In fact.The only thing that i still hate about MGS1, would be all those damn cut scenes from hell. Sometimes i even said loud for myself “Just let me play already goddamnit!”.

Because  a large part of MGS1 consists of cut scene after cut scene. Speaking of which. Sektor Seven G illustrated the cut scene issue pretty well in his video “The Gamer Chronicles EP1”.
