Even though i´m really impressed by the Unity Engine and Crytek´s CryEngine. It´s kind of hard to deny the fact that Epic´s Unreal Engine 4 not only look great as well, but UE4 is also free-to-use!

In fact, you can download and use UE4 today! The only cost that exists for using Epic´s UE4, would be the 5% royalty which you have to pay when you release a app or a game.

But that´s a very low price to pay considering what you get for your money. In other words, you won´t have to pay until you actually have something to release.

And if you want some good and “real” Unreal Engine 4 projects. Then just checkout the following games:

Fable Legends by Lionhead Studios
Unreal Paris by Benoit Dereau
Seek by Five Pixels
