I have seen a lot of PFS and bullet hell games throughout the years. However, I have not seen all that many bullet hell FPS hybrid games. Well, that just happens to be the case with Grip Digital and Terrible Posture Games upcoming bullet-hell FPS hybrid “Mothergunship” (the game is in development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One). So naturally, I got really interested and curious about the game.
Good thing that, because “Mothergunship” looks freaking awesome! (think “Prey” meets “Unreal” and any given bullet hell title). That’s also why I got quite excited when I found out that Terrible Posture Games announced a new trailer and homepage for “Mothergunship”. In the matter of fact, they did so just a couple of days ago:
“Hello everyone! Today we are very happy to share our brand new Mothergunship trailer with you! Also, together with the new trailer, we have a brand new website[www.mothergunship.com] website and forum where you can connect with other fans and start discussing about the game. Community feedback is one of our priorities, so we will be glad to read all your suggestions and ideas, either here in the Steam Discussion section, or in the official Mothergunship forum!” – Terrible Posture Game
Great news indeed, and the brand-new trailer (you can watch the said trailer further down the page) just made me even more interested in “Mothergunship” (the “Unreal” vibes that I mentioned earlier is most likely due to the fact that the game runs on Unreal Engine 4). So I truly hope that it’s correct that the game will be release sometime this year, and speaking of which. For those who have no idea what “Mothergunship” is all about, here’s Terrible Posture Game description of their game:
“Our mission is clear, our determination strong, and our guns are very, very big. Terrible Posture Games, in partnership with Grip Digital, is proud to announce MOTHERGUNSHIP, a bullet-hell FPS hybrid for PC and consoles that pits you, Earth’s last hope, against the armadas of data-hoarding robotic alien invaders.MOTHERGUNSHIP mixes bullet-hell intensity with the shooting, customization, and traversal of the first-person genre. Fight your way through the alien fleets, facing randomized enemy and level mayhem as you clear rooms and take out some of the biggest bosses seen in the FPS genre.” – Terrible Posture Game
