I’m pretty sure that the most of you are way too young to remember Cinemaware’s action-adventure gameIt Came From The Desert“, because the game originally launched for the Amiga back in 1989 (even I’m too young to remember that game). Well, guess what? Out of nowhere I found out that there is a fan-made remake of “It Came From The Desert” in the making.

it came from the desert 1989 game

The original “It Came From The Desert” game were launched back in 1989 for the Amiga.

Yes, that’s right, because less than 24-hours ago Josue Candela (the developer of  “It Came From The Desert” remake) had the whole world know that his making a full-blown remake of “It Came From The Desert”:

“Hello folks, I’ve been working for quite some time on this project and I think it is about time to share it with the world. It’s just kind of a teaser but I hope you enjoy it and brings you back good memories. hxxps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p0F2CPgo-c If you’re interested in the project you can subscribe to the newsletter on my blog or follow me on twitter (@JosCanPer) to get the latest information and participate with your opinions on the project. https://icftd-remake.blogspot.com/ Any comments or suggestions are really appreciated.”

The teaser trailer of the “It Came From The Desert” remake caught my attention with no doubt.

That’s just the half of it though, because Josue also had us know that there is a homepage and a teaser trailer for “It Came From The Desert”:

“The time has finally come, I would like to show some bits of a project I’ve been working on for a while now. A remake of the masterpiece developed in 1989 by Cinemaware: “It came from the Desert” (ICFTD for short). I was about 1-year-old when ICFTD came out although it wasn’t after a few years later that I finally got to play it on my AMIGA 500. This is by far, the game that influenced me the most to get into game development. Here the teaser trailer that shows what I’ve been working on, hope you like it.” Josue Candela, via It Came From The Desert remake’s homepage

There really is a day-and-night difference between the remake and the original 1989 version of “It Came From The Desert”.

That’s great news for fans of “It Came From The Desert” with no doubt. However, please keep in mind that this is a fan-made project. In other words, the “It Came From The Desert” remake project has no involvement from neither Cinemaware nor Starbreeze AB whatsoever.

“It Came From The Desert Remake is a fan made not-profit-making project developed by Josue Candela Perdomo. This project is not endorsed in any way by Cinemaware or Starbreeze AB “It Came From the Desert” and Cinemaware are trademarks registered by Starbreeze AB” – Josue Candela

You could say that the fan-made remake of “It Came From The Desert” is like a mix of the new and the old.

Even so though, I’m still rather curious and hyped for Josue Candela’s fan-made remake of “It Came From The Desert”. So I can’t wait to see some in-game gameplay videos from “It Came From The Desert Remake”. As for here and now though, you will find the teaser trailer for the game further down the page =)

And with that said, what’s your take on the remake of “It Came From The Desert” so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
