***Update 1 – 2015-10-24 – 13:11 CEST***
Yesterday I finished my gameplay video of “Wanderer” (I think I played through the alpha demo three or four times, because I wanted to see if I had missed out on something), and I have to say that I´m rather impressed by the game so far. And even though I have just seen (and experienced) a very early alpha of “Wanderer”. It didn´t take me all that long to understand Red Cloak Games ambitions and talents, nor what they’re trying to achieve. So I really hope that Red Clock will be able to collect those $70,000 on Kickstarter. Nevertheless, “Wanderer” is doing pretty well so far. As the game has already raised almost $30,000 in total (with 18 days left to go).
With that said, please enjoy our Alpha demo gameplay video of “Wanderer” =) And “if” you enjoyed the video, then show the game some love on Kickstarter!

I think it´s safe to say that Red Cloak Games got something very “special” in the making with their lo-fi sci-fi/adventure/RPG/cinematic platformer “Wanderer” (for Windows, MAC and Linux). Just take the fact that “Wanderer” is inspired by awesome games such as “Heart of Darkness“, “Another World” and “Flashback” (“Wanderer” has also been inspired by “Cowboy Bebop” and “Firefly”). And I could really feel that when I played the early alpha demo of the game earlier today (I will record a video for “Wanderer” tomorrow). So I´m quite excited to see what the final version of the game will look and feel like. As for here and now though, “Wanderer” needs to collect $70,000 on Kickstarter in-order to become a reality.
Fear not though, as Red Cloak Games has raised about $20,000 so far (with 23 days left to go). And more and more people have just started to find out about “Wanderer” as well. However, it remains to be seen whether that will be enough to help “Wanderer” to reach it´s Kickstarter goal on time or not. Personally, I really hope so. As it´s been a very, very long time since I´ve played (or seen) a game quite like this. And I´ll have you know that the talented composer Jonathan Geer (“King Oddball”, “Hearth Forth, Alicia“, “Sparkle 1 and 2” with many more!) is working on the Wanderer’s soundtrack. So Geer is the one that will bring a lot of musical atmosphere and feel into the world of “Wanderer” (you can listen to some of Geer´s songs for “Wanderer” via the Kickstarter page).
And from what I can tell, “Wanderer” seems to offer quite a lot of different in-game options as well. Like the games dialogs (which is Inspired by modern interactive narratives such as “Heavy Rain” and “The Walking Dead”), combat and outcomes of the game (what you did VS what you should have done). And all of this combined should be more than enough to make any Gamer interested in “Wanderer.” I should also mention that the RPG elements of the game is influenced by RPG classics such as “Rogue Galaxy,” “‘Valkyrie Profile” and “Paper Mario.”
So if you like the sound of that, then show “Wanderer” some love on Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight!
