Normally, I try to avoid any drama and e-celebrity-related topics and matters. However, I couldn´t help to notice that David Jaffe (the father of “Twisted Metal” and “God of War“) had one hell of a tantrum over a prom picture via Twitter just recently. And what made his tweets extra interesting is due to the fact that Jaffe stated stuff such as “Sexist”, “reinforces harmful views”, “sexism” and “racism“. And why is that “extra interesting”? Because Jaffe just happens to be the very same guy who created “God of War” 1 and 2. And as most of you probably already know. There is a well-known triangle sex scene to be found in “God of War II”.
So my point would be this. Jaffe was (with no doubts whatsoever) the last person I thought that I would ever see making statements such as this:
Sure, people can change. Even if that´s the case though, I can´t say that it´s for the better. And doesn´t all of this sound very familiar? You know, the “Everything’s sexist” part? I would also like to point out that David Jaffe wasn´t like this a couple of years back in time (the same could be said about Tim Schafer, Jim Sterling and Nich Maragos as well). And that makes me wonder when, where and why Jaffe changed his mindset? Or perhaps it´s just a pr-trick kind of thing? (Jaffe is working on “Drawn to Death” for the PS4 at the moment). Nevertheless, I can´t agree with Jaffe (the part about the prom picture being “sexist”, “Racist” and whatnot). As I find nothing racist or sexist about it. And it really hurts me to see yet another childhood hero of mine falling this low (I was once a fan of Tim Schafer, not anymore). And to make matters even worse, now it seems like Jaffe is apologizing for his own creations on Twitter as we speak. So let´s just say that I have lost all my respect for Jaffe…
With that said, what´s your take on this matter? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
