As some of you might remember, my brother Jonas got the chance to review the Roccat Kone Aimo Gaming mouse back in September of last year. Well, now it’s my turn to review a Gaming mouse of my own.
To be exact, I’m going to review the Roccat Kone Pure Owl-eye Gaming mouse, and right off the bat. The Roccat Kone Pure mouse is extremely light, as it only weighs in at 88 grams.
As a matter of fact, the mouse is so light that I sometimes forgot all about even holding the mouse in my hand (funny enough, I didn’t get that light impression based on the box which the Roccat Kone Pure mouse came with).
Well, that light feature is both a pro and a con in my book, because it’s a good feature that you can make light and fast maneuvers with the mouse, but it comes at the expense of making the mouse look and feels very plastic-like.
I’m also not quite sure how much Gamer rage the Roccat Kone Pure mouse will be able to take without falling apart like a bad rental car. However, I have used the Kone Pure mouse for more than one month’s time now, and so far, so good.
As for design, tech, software, price, and gaming. Well, I think the design is really stylish and cool-looking (the Stormtroopers from “Star Wars” comes to mind).
Furthermore, the design of the Roccat Kone Pure Gaming mouse has done wonders on the comfort front, as the mouse fits perfectly into your hand (I got medium sized hands). So that means that you can reach all the mouse buttons with no sweat as well.
The tech does what it should, and the Roccat Swarm software is very easy to learn and use.
So, what about the price then? Well, the price is currently set at 59,99 USD, and that’s a fair price in terms of what you get for your money.
Now, let’s get down to the Gaming part. I’ve used the Roccat Kone pure Gaming mouse with a wide range of games, and that includes everything from “Brutal Doom”, “Killing Floor 2“, “Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Don’t Dry”, “Battle Princess Madelyn”, “Worms W.M.D” to “FAR Lone Sails”, and the mouse handled all those games with ease (the same could also be said about none Gaming-related activities).
So from my point of view, it doesn’t matter what you toss at the Kone pure Gaming mouse, because the mouse rocks every game there is like a boss.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I really like the Roccat Kone pure Gaming mouse, but there are a few things with the mouse the ticks me of.
For example, the mouse is so light and plastic-like that I become somewhat nervous that I might break it. Other than that, if you got big hands then you might end up struggling while using the mouse since it’s rather tiny.
Nevertheless, all in all, The Roccat Kone Pure Owl-eye Gaming mouse review is a truly well-made Gaming mouse. Simply put, you get a lot of value for your money if you end up buying it.
Pros:
+ The design is very clean and stylish
+ The mouse buttons work like charm with most games and programs
+ A good price in terms of what you get for your money
+ The mouse works great with both games and non Gaming related tasks
+ It’s a huge plus that the mouse core doesn’t get all tangled up while playing
+ The Roccat Swarm software program works like a charm
+ I really LOVE the 2D Titan Wheel
Cons:
– Some people might find the mouse to be to light and plastic-like
– If you got big hands, then the mouse size might become a problem for you

Verdict 5/5
I have used a whole lot of different Gaming mice over the years. Even so, the Roccat Kone Pure Owl-eye is with no doubt the best Gaming mouse that I’ve used so far. Why? Because it got everything that makes a Gaming mouse great, and it comes at a good price.
