I can´t say that I have played all that many games that cover the War of 1812 (it was a war which lasted for two and a half years between United States of America + Native American allies Vs the United Kingdom, Ireland and their allies). However, that just happens to be the case with WarGirl Games visual novel “Over The Hills And Far Away“. As you get to experience what the war might have been like through the eyes of a Shawnee girl (Mai) and a rogue redcoat (a UK soldier named William Aubrey). Whom will share their thoughts on the war, life and everything between with you (the player). So that gives you a very “up close and personal” kind of experience, that´s at least what I´ve felt while playing the game last night (yes, I will record a video for the game asap!).

Say hello to Mai. She´s a young Shawnee girl who has quite a lot of things to say about the Anglo-American War of 1812.
I should also point out that “Over The Hills And Far Away” offers beautiful artwork and animations (I also like the soundtrack). So if you like visual novels, you´re probably not going to be disappointed with this game. However, if you´re still not sure if “Over The Hills And Far Away,” is your type of game or not. Then you could just download and try the demo first. As for me, I´m enjoying the game so far (no offense meant, but it´s nice to play something that´s not ultra violent for a change). Anyhow,”if” you like the demo, then you can buy “Over The Hills And Far Away” via Steam for 8,99 Euro at the moment. I´m quite sure that you won´t be disappointed.
