It´s kind of tragic that some developers and publishers will never learn that it´s not a good idea to rip off or treat your own fanbase like crap. Want a clue? It´s your fans who pay your bills and your salaries. It´s as easy as that, you just don´t fu** your fans over. You simply make sure that you keep them happy, and that things stay that way. However, greed tends to cause problems between developers, publishers and the fans (read “consumers”). And that just happens to be the case in the most-recent consumer revolt against Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studios co-op FPS action game “Payday 2” (the game was originally released back in 2013 for Windows, Linux, PS3, PS4, 360 and Xbox One). And why is that? Well, apparently someone at either Starbreeze or Overkill Software thought that it would be a brilliant idea to roll out a pay-2-win formula for “Payday 2”. And not only that, it´s also said that microtransactions are now a part of Payday 2 as well.

So no wonder why the negative reviews have overflowed the “Payday 2” Steam page (it all started on the 15th of October). And I’m not even exaggerating either, because it´s a never-ending list over angry Payday 2 reviews on Steam right now (I would not try to print them all out if I were you). And that´s truly sad, because “Payday 2” was once a really good game (at least the PS3, 360 and PC version of the game. I´ve been told that “Payday 2” are pretty bad to PS4 and Xbxo One).

So where do we go from here? Well, personally I´m not going to invest my time or money in “Payday 2”. And it´s all up to Starbreeze and Overkill Software to get a grip of the situation. In short, remove pay-2-win and microtransactions from “Payday 2” (the fans don’t want a CSGO and TF2 business model!). Because if the Payday fanbase turns their back on them, then it´s Game Over for real.
