Haarlem, Netherlands, November 4th 2024.
The Haarlem-based  (the Netherlands) indie games publisher Iceberg Interactive and Czech Republic-based indie games developer Krystof Knesl, are today very excited and proud to announce that their ’80s supernatural thriller game “Radiolight“, is now in development for PC.

The game invites players to hike in the stunning nature of Ashwood Creek National Park in Radiolight, a captivating and atmospheric thriller set in the isolated forests of 1980s America. Radiolight promises a petrifying journey of suspense, survival, and the supernatural.

In Radiolight, players assume the role of Ethan, a police officer in the town of Ashwood Creek, who is drawn into his own past after a local teenager goes missing under mysterious circumstances. Set in 1985, this narrative twists through foggy valleys and towering pines where secrets lie hidden beneath a seemingly tranquil surface.

Guided by the voice of his friend and police chief Robert, Ethan delves deeper and deeper. His investigation turns into a chilling mission to uncover the truth enthralled by eerie signals: haunting radio interferences that lure him further into the unknown.

About the game
At its heart, Radiolight is an atmospheric, story-rich thriller with an investigative radio mechanic. Tuning into supernatural frequencies becomes essential to the journey, revealing clues and leading players toward hidden truths… or deeper into peril. Players must interpret cryptic messages, supernatural signals, and ghostly echoes of the past, whilst relying on their survival instincts.

“Radiolight began as a vision back in 2018,” says Krystof Knesl, a Czech developer whose journey started with a love for film and storytelling.

“I grew up wanting to be a movie director, but I found my true passion in the immersive world of games. I started by publishing small projects on itch.io, but it quickly became clear I wanted to create something more ambitious.”

“Radiolight is my debut title, developed over four years,” Krystof explains.

“My goal is to craft an intense, memorable experience that combines my favourite storytelling elements into a mind-bending narrative with gameplay that resonates deeply with players.”

Key Features:

An Edge-of-Your-Seat Mystery: Unravel a story filled with suspense, supernatural elements, and dark secrets that blur the line between reality and the unknown.
Captivating Characters: Dive deep into a gripping narrative as you uncover the past and present lives of those in Ashwood Creek, including your own.
Stylized Timeless Graphics: Step back into the 1980s with beautifully stylized visuals that capture the nostalgic vibe of the era and the beauty of the nature that engulfs you.
A Beautiful National Park to Explore: Wander through the serene yet unsettling landscapes of Ashwood Creek National Park, where every corner hides a clue… or a threat.
Can You Uncover the Secret? Armed with only your transistor radio and a walkie-talkie, you’ll need to think on your feet, listen carefully, and trust no one.

Radiolight, designed solely by Krystof Knesl, captures a unique blend of story-driven gameplay, exploration, and psychological tension. As players are drawn deeper into Ashwood Creek’s mysteries, they’ll confront a narrative that challenges their perceptions of reality and trust.

Radiolight will soon be available on Steam, offering players a haunting, immersive adventure they won’t soon forget.
