Indie games publisher Misty Whale and solo indie games developer Yannick Audéoud are today very proud and happy to announce that their logic based puzzle game “Orbyss“, is now available for PC via Steam.

After impressing players with its demo and drawing praise for its atmospheric presentation and elegant mechanics, Orbyss now invites everyone to dive into its full journey of logic, light, and transformation.

Set in a bioluminescent realm teetering between harmony and corruption, Orbyss tasks players with navigating from Orb to Orb to solve intricate logic puzzles. Along the way, they’ll bend time, fly drones, compose sound, and outsmart the creeping shadows threatening to consume the world.

“This is a game about perception,” says solo developer Yannick Audéoud.

“Each puzzle asks you to slow down, think carefully, and view things from a new angle. It’s been an absolute dream to see players connect with this world and I can’t wait to see how far they’ll go now that the full journey is here.”

Orbyss blends strict logic with imagination and creativity. Across 8 chapters and 40+ handcrafted rooms, players are introduced to new mechanics at every turn, making each puzzle feel fresh and mentally rewarding.

The atmospheric original soundtrack of Orbyss was composed by Pierre Estève (Atlantis series), who crafted an ambient, minimalist score that takes players on a meditative journey.

Key gameplay features:

Co-op Mechanics in a single player game – Be in multiple places at once. Switch between Orbs to solve multi-step logic puzzles.

Freeze, Fly, and Let Creativity Flow – Use an expanding toolkit of mechanics across eight chapters. Each new element builds on what came before, leading to elegant, layered puzzles.

A Bioluminescent World – Explore a dreamlike digital universe full of geometric architecture and mysterious forces.

Orbyss is the first commercial title from Misty Whale and French developer Yannick Audéoud, who spent years crafting the game during his free time while participating in the Capital Games mentoring program. With support from sound designer Pierre Estève, Audéoud built Orbyss in Unreal Engine 4 as a love letter to pure logic puzzles and surreal digital worlds.
