As we all know (we how love city building games at least) by now. Do to the fact that EA shut down SimCity Developer Maxis Emeryville, there´s quite a big hole to fill out for city building games on the market.
And it seems like quite a few devs has realized this as well. In fact, Paradox Interactive saw all the problems with the 2013 version of SimCity had.
So Paradox gave thumbs up for the development of “Cities: Skylines” (which is developed by the Finnish devs Colossal Order).
And “Cities: Skylines” became a huge success on it´s launch at the very beginning of this month (the game has an average score of 85% via gamerankings.com).
I can understand why though. As “Skylines” is everything that the new edition SimCity never was. As the game actually worked on day 1, it´s fun and so far there´s very few bugs in “Skylines”.
So if you like city building kind of games. Then you should most defiantly pickup “Cities: Skylines” asap! (you can buy the game via Steam for 27,99 Euro).
About Cities: Skylines:
Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience.
From the makers of the Cities in Motion franchise, the game boasts a fully realized transport system. It also includes the ability to mod the game to suit your play style as a fine counter balance to the layered and
challenging simulation. You’re only limited by your imagination, so take control and reach for the sky!
