Not so long ago i wrote about Nintendo and their copyright claims on Youtube (gameplay videos).
Because Angry Joe had some of his videos claimed by Nintendo (Nintendo and Youtube copyrights – Angry Joe spits it out).
And that happened just recently. Then i wrote about the so-called “Nintendo creators program“. Which would be a Youtube partnership deal between you and Nintendo.
In short, they get a share of your ad-revenue on your gameplay videos (any of Nintendo´s games). Sounds fair and square right? Well, one would think that. But there´s way more to it then just that.
Because if you read the “terms and conditions” for Nintendo´s creators program. Then you will notice that once you have signed the deal with Nintendo.
Nintendo do have legal rights to shut your Youtube channel down (WITHOUT any warnings whatsoever).
And that´s something that you should keep in mind if you plan to join Nintendo´s creators program. As there is a backside to that deal.
And it might cost you dearly in the end if you´re not fully aware of it.
But what do you guy´s think about all of this?
