What a nice coincidence. Because i started to play Quake Remake the other day. And just the other night i found out that ID Software released their online FPS hit “Quake Live” on Steam just recently.
And it´s all true, because it´s live on Steam as we speak. For me it means a lot of nostalgia.
Mainly because i played Quake III Arena (which was the original name of the game when it was released back in 1999) quite a lot back in the days. But there´s a huge difference between Quake Live and Q3 Arena. There´s like tons of improvements and new features in Quake Live for example.
But Quake Live are just as fast paced and adrenalin pumping as Q3 Arena. And that´s the way it should be. And do the fact that Quake Live are all free-to-play. You might wanna give it a go 😉
“Welcome to Quake Live. From the legendary series that founded the online shooter genre comes the most exciting, energetic, and fast-paced free-to-play shooter on the Internet. Play against players around the world in over 100 arenas, and a dozen game modes, in one of the most competitive shooters online today. Coming to Steam on September 17, 2014.”
