I don´t know if there´s even such a game category as “Kiddie games“. But I’ve been hearing that genre “statement” for years now, so i guess it does.
And funny enough, yesterday a pr-sells person thought that i had kids (for some odd reason).
Anyhow, to make a long story short. I was recommended to give BitMonster Games adventure game “Lili: Child of Geos” a try.
Sure, the game looks great (thanks to the Unreal Engine). But here´s the thing. Lili really seems to be a kiddies game.
Because it seems like the whole objective behind Lili is to run around looking for monsters, pick up flowers and riding around on the monsters back.
So i don´t know. If i had kids, sure, then i would buy it. But i´m somewhat doubtful about paying 19 Euro for that sort of thing (via Steam for example).
Then again, Lili are said to be inspired by Zelda, Psychonauts and Broken Age. I´ll tell you what, i shall think about it. Right now, i´m going to enjoy Quake Remake though 😉
