Out of all the games that Ubisoft showcased at their E3 press conference this year, Ubisoft Montreal´s Rainbow Six: Siege (which, by the way, was shown for the very first time during E3 last year) impressed me the most. Then again, I´ve been a fan of the Rainbow Six series since Rainbow Six 1. So I got somewhat nervous when I was about to watch the E3 2015 trailer for the game, as I remember what happened to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots (the game got canceled, Siege is said to be It´s successor). Luckily enough for me (and everyone else), Rainbow Six: Siege was not an disappointment.
Because not only has the AnvilNext Engine done wonders to RS: Siege (the game looks really good I have to say, and that can be said about the games realism as well), but I sure liked the idea of destructible environments as well (Battlefield anyone?). Then you got some really awesome multiplayer features too, such as “Terrorist Hunt”(A.i Vs player or Player Vs Player) for example. Which includes different sorts of objective’s and goals, such as, kill em all, hostage rescue, bomb defusal and terrorist hunt.
So what about RS: Siege´s single player campaign (aka the “story mode“)? Well, I need to see more in-game SP action before I say anything more about It. Even so, I can´t wait to give Rainbow Six: Siege a try myself. Speaking of which, the game is set for a release on the 13th of October this year! (Windows, PS4 and Xbox One).
