It´s not the first time that Konami has made people (guess who) upset over something from the Metal Gear Solid universe. However, in most cases it has been because of a female character. Either because she´s dressed inappropriate, look too sexy or simply because there are scenes (or poses) in the game that people get offended by. So here we go again “I’m triggered,” “I’m offended.”, “sexist game design” and so on. This time it was because Konami showed a art picture of Bishoujo´s upcoming Sniper Wolf statue (which looks bloody great imo). Anyhow, this is what Konami Europe said on Twitter:
“Sniper Wolf Bishoujo Statue art revealed, by @koto_official. Thanks to @EMannLand for spotting it!” – Konami Europe, via Twitter
Well, so far, so good right? Sure, but the peaceful silence was broken when an EA employee (Chris Garratty) decided to cause a scene on Twitter (which you can see for yourself in the picture down below). However, it seems like most people have a different view on what´s “art,” “sexism,” “sexist game design” and “sexiness.”
So that´s why i´m going to ask you guys and girls the following question. Is Bishoujo´s Sniper Wolf statue art sexist or not?
