I still remember what I thought when I first saw the E3 trailer for Ubisoft´s, Trey Parker and Matt Stone´s South Park: The Fractured but Whole (PS4, PS4 and Xbox One), I just thought for myself “How the hell will they be able to top the madness from Stick of Truth?”. Well, based on what I’ve seen from South Park TFBW so far (the trailer, press release pictures, interviews and so on). TFBW seems to be even crazier than Stick of Truth, and yes. The game is an action/adventure/RPG just like the Stick of truth. However, TFBW is developed by Ubisoft San Francisco instead of Obsidian Entertainment.
So It remains to be seen if the exchange of studios is a bad or good thing, and Ubisoft San Francisco sure got a lot to prove too. As the Stick of Truth had a really nice average score on release:
gamerankings.com
PC – 87%
PS3 – 83.94%
360 – 84-03%
metacritic
PC 85/100
PS3 85/100
360 82/100
I also like the fact that Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman (Aka “The Coon“, which is Cartman´s half racoon superhero alter-ego) will become super-heroes (crime fighters) in TFBW, as it´s their (YOUR) job to take on crime in the underbelly of South Park. And that of course means a lot of crazy dialogs, political incorrectness, humor and battles. Still, will that be enough to satisfy the South Park fans?
We will know for sure when South Park: The Fractured but Whole gets released to PC, PS4 and Xbox One next year. So what do you guys and girls think about The Fractured but Whole so far?
