Games made by gamers, for gamers!
I find it to be rather funny and strange that “some” people think that you don´t have to be a Gamer (or even like games) in-order to create very excellent games. I mean, that´s like I would try to create a really good wine. I know nothing about wines. And I don´t even drink or like wine (no matter if it´s red or white). So it´s very unlikely that I would be able to create a wine which the wine lovers would enjoy. Well, I think you get my point. So I think it´s much better if you actually enjoy what you do and have the skills needed (know how) to create something that the targeted audience will love (no matter the market). So “if” you´re a Gamer/game developer, then you might be interested in “the play project,” since it´s a new social community platform for game developers of all skills (you get a chance to connect, learn and share ideas with other developers), there will also be competitions, game jams and events.
So if you like the sound of that, then you got a chance to work together with other game developers all over the globe (the play project is volunteer based, and it´s made that way so that everyone will get a chance in gaining a career within the gaming development sector) thanks to the play project community (which aims to create awesome games without in-game costs, pay-2-win features). And “if” that would be the case, then I wish you the best of luck with your game development projects via the play project!
