Not since 2002 have i heard anything about Game Arts epic RPG game Grandia II (it was originally released for the Dreamcast back in year 2000, in Japan that is. then Grandia II landed on both PS2 and PC back in 2002). But that´s just about to change as GungHo OnlineEntertainment America has decided to release their classic RPG game Grandia II on Steam.

But there´s more to it than “just” that. Because the Steam version of Grandia II will offer HD visuals, mouse, keyboard and gamepad support. And trading cards and Steam achievements. And all of this was thanks to the feedback survey that GungHo Online Entertainment launched in April. Because the Grandia community was really enthusiastic about getting a Steam port of Grandia II.

And this is what the CEO of GungHo America (Jun Iwasaki) had to say about the Steam port of Grandia II:

“With the rise of digital downloads, it is especially important that classic gamescontinue to remain available to play in some form,”  “Grandia II was chosen for a PC re-release because it represents both a hallmark of the Grandia series and an example of how great JRPGs can be.” – Jun Iwasaki, president of GungHo America
