It seems like 2015 will become a really good year for the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” fans. Because it´s been less than two months since Scott Cawthon released the third installment for his the point-and-click survival horror series “FNAF“. And now it´s time for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter” to make some noise.
FNAF4 got unveiled via a teaser image (as seen down below) of the iconic FNAF character Freddy Fazbear (in a way, his the mascot of the series) last night on the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” homepage. There´s even a release date for FNAF 4 as well, and that would be on Halloween this year (31st of October).
But that´s just the half of it. Because there will also be a “Five Nights at Freddy’s” movie. As Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired the rights to adapt the
FNAF series to cinema and movie screens. In which Scott Cawthon (the creator of the FNAF series) commented the following on Warner Bros. plans for a movie adoption of his horror series:
“taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to,” – Scott Cawthon
Roy Lee, David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith are set to produce the FNAF movie. And according to Seth Grahame they are collaborating with Cawthon “to make an insane, terrifyingand weirdly adorable movie”.
That sure sounds promosing. And just to make things even better. Scott Cawthon donated almsot $250,000 to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (Memphis, USA) last weekend. So this is some great news for everyone really.
So are you guys excited for FNAF4 and Warner Bros. upcoming FNAF movie?
