Once i was told that there is no such thing as “bad PR“. Because PR is PR. But sometimes it can actually affect you in a negative kind of way.

Like in the case with Soda Pop Miniatures “Tentacle bento” (which was a satire card-game) for example.

After a lot of fuss (thanks to sites such as “Kotaku“. How wrote articles such as “Come On, a Card Game About Tentacle Rape”, “Tentacle bento” got cancelled on Kickstarter back in 2012.

Sure, Vigrior, Rogue Games and Mercenary Games Action/Strategy/ arcade Shooter “FleetCOMM“, has absolutely nothing to do with that game (or Tentacles for that matter).

But even so, the makers of “FleetCOMM” are somewhat nervous that their game might get lynched or boycotted on Kickstarter. Mainly because of the ongoing war against the #GamerGate movement (which Rogue Games is said to be a part of).

The fleetCOMM demo is available for Windows, MAC and Linux.

However, the first Kickstarter campaign for “FleetCOMM” went really well back in 2012 (over $17,000 were collected in total).

But now it´s all about the PS4 port for “FleetCOMM”, and that’s a whole nother story. And this time , Rogue Games (and Mercenary Games) needs to collect $20,000 .

I think that their going to make it though, because they have already collected over $1,000 so far. And there´s still over 42 days left on the Kickstarter campaign. So i wish them the best of luck!
