I just watched the trailer for Team ZANRAI´s arcade/action/Co-op game “Stardust Vanguards“. And i really have to say that it caught my attention.

But then again, i´m a huge fan of mecha robots and space. And that just happens to be the theme and setting of Stardust Vanguards.

Stardust Vanguards is a action/arcade/Co-op game for PC and Linux.

Because 4 players will face each other in a game of death in outer space. But that´s not all. Nope, because during the dual fights between you and your enemies (friends?). You can get attacked by outside forces, space pirates for example.

And thanks to all the support from Gamers all over the world. Stardust Vanguards got Greenlit on Steam Greenlight! earlier this year (October). So i´m just waiting for Team ZANRAI to release the game.

I don´t think that there will be a release for Stardust Vanguards before the end of this year though. It leans more towards an early 2015 release at the moment. So keep your eyes open for it!

About Stardust Vanguards:
Stardust Vanguards is a local 4-player arena fighter where players take on the role of commanders at war. Your special ability is to call in allied squadrons and fleets to assist you killing other commanders. Random events occasionally occur throughout the battle, such as computer controlled space pirates launching massive surprise assaults on all parties involved.

You may choose to team up with your rival players during these situations, or use these events as a distraction to kill off an unsuspecting commander. Of course, you’ll have to deal with the pirates, too, since they can win the battle just like a player can. Central to Stardust Vanguard’s core premise is fast-paced dueling with an element of strategy brought about through your ability to call for reinforcements.
