The fear of the unknown has always been a great source to (and for) horror related movies, books and video games. And the presence of the unknown are very strong in Hinterland Games FPS survival horror game “The long dark“.

A game that made me think about a mix of Alan Wake, Alone in the Dark and The Shining. A really pleasant mix really. Well, at least if you get your kicks from scaring yourself half to death. But obviously there´s quite a few people who enjoy that kind of game.

because The long dark collected over $256,000 in total via Kickstarter last year. And i just noticed that there´s a early access version of The Long Dark on Steam (it´s all yours for 19,99 Euro).
