I really love the fact that I was just listening to Judas Priest (Live in Miami 1988, to be exact) when I found out about Sony BMG Music Entertainment’s Guitar Hero clone-like mobile game “Judas Priest: Road to Valhalla” for iOS (the game cost 1,99 USD via the App store). Yes, that’s right, the Heavy Metal gods from Judas Priest now has their very own mobile game! (never before has a touch screen based game been so Metal-like):
“Metal maniacs, are you ready to join Judas Priest on the Road To Valhalla? Your mission is to battle enemies to unlock stems and construct the classic songs from Judas Priest in this visually stunning journey of molten metal mayhem. Judas Priest: Road to Valhalla features four action packed levels and never before released stems from six iconic Judas Priest songs including Breaking the Law, Painkiller and You Got Another Thing Coming. Throughout each level, fill “stem meters” to construct the full song and advance to the next chapter of the game. The Metal God – Rob Halford, makes exclusive appearances to guide you on your journey to Valhalla!” – Sony BMG Music Entertainment
So, what exactly do you get for your money then? Well, you get to enjoy five legendary Judas Priest songs (yes, “Breakin’ the Law” is one of them), three different bikes, and you get the chance to become a Metal god. So far so good, well, at least if you’re a fan of Judas Priest, because I hardly doubt that the game will go home well for non fans. Nevertheless, I hope that some Gamers of the younger generation will become fans of Judas Priest and Metal in general by playing “Road To Valhalla” (we need more Metalheads in the global Metal family!). Well, time will tell. As for here and now though, you will find the trailer for “Road To Valhalla” down below!
