It’s been over two months since the last time we wrote about Level-5’s upcoming puzzle/adventure game “Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy” (the last post was published on the 7th of June. In other words, during E3 2017). So, yeah, it’s been rather quite on that front as of lately. However, the silence was broken just recently as Nintendo Sweden (Bergsala AB) informed us that “Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy” is coming to 3DS in October (the game is already available for iOS and Android):

“Solving difficult mysteries seems to be well-rooted in the Layton family! In the adventure of Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy, Professor Layton’s daughter Katrielle is at the heart of the mystery of father’s absence. Take part in this puzzle adventure when released to the game consoles of the Nintendo 3DS family on October 6 this year.

Just like previous Layton adventures, LEVEL-5 Inc. is the developer. Amazingly, the Layton Games will also celebrate ten years this year. Only in Europe, the Layton Games have been sold in over 8.7 million copies. This game contains more puzzles than any previous Layton game and you will also be able to download bonus puzzles daily for an entire year starting on release. In other words, you will get a lot of challenges if you take Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy.

The action in the game begins with Katrielle being in the process of starting her own detective agency at Chancer Lane, thus gaining the attention she needs to get more clues in pursuit of her missing father. To help her, she has her bike that takes her to the places where she solves case by case and soon leads her to the discovery of something called “The Millionaires’ Conspiracy”. All the same, Katrielle is not. She has a little help from a young student, Ernest Greeves, who becomes her assistant. Soon they also get help from a Sherl, talking dog who also happens to be Katriel’s first client.

Thanks to the touch screen of the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS consoles, Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy is easy to play. A game for both Beginners and Layton veterans.
