Sometimes I seriously don´t understand people at all, all the negativity, whining and complaining about everything and nothing. I´m talking about all the negative comments concerning Ubisoft´s upcoming mobile (for smartphone and tablet) game Rayman Adventures. First of all, I understand that people are very hungry for a sequel to Rayman Legends (who wouldn´t be?), still, there´s no reason (whatsoever) to go bananas over Rayman Adventures.
“i saw the title and thought it was a sequel to legends. i am dissapointed” – apocalypse high
“Literally ripped assets and gameplay from Legends. And oh: It’s mobile. Fuck this.” – gameonion
“Yeah looks like shit. Nobody asked for this” – Sleeprocket1
It also seems like people have forgotten how freaking awesome Rayman Jungle Run was (and still are), and I don´t agree with those who claim that Rayman Adventures looks really bad (when it comes to graphics, art, etc.). In fact, the game looks great for a mobile game. As for the accusations of being a “copy and paste” work (ripped assets and gameplay from Rayman Legends), even if that´s the case, so what? If Rayman Adventures turns out to be a great mobile game, who cares? Especially due to the fact that the game is very likely to have a single-digit price tag on release (the two previous Rayman mobile games had a $2.99 price tag).
As for the actual game itself, Rayman Adventures seems to be a runner game just like Rayman Jungle Run and Rayman Fiesta Run. However, it seems like Rayman Adventures will have a “twist” to it. As you´re sent out to find (and rescue) the incrediballs (each golden egg holds a strange creature inside of it). So I don´t know about you, but I’m at least going to give Rayman Adventures a fair chance once Ubisoft releases the game to mobile (iOS, there´s no word on an Android version just yet).
