***SPOILER WARNING!***
After a month-long Hiatus, Grimm is back on NBC and is even better than ever in all its glory! We’re looking at a lot of new challenges and adventures for the gang since the last episode which in itself was amazing. Remember that bad ass tricked out motorcycle Trubel had? Yeah, thought so. Furthermore, since a certain Hexenbiest is still alive, more questions have arisen in midst of her saving the gang in the last episode. Let’s take a look at what happened this week, and pose a few questions for this week.
FULL SPOILERS FOLLOW!!!
With the team reeling from the fact, they barely escaped with their teeth and skin, Nick is bewildered by the fact that Juliette is not only alive—but she totally saved their asses! With no time to let it sink in. They interrogate Xavier for their imminent danger, and discover more than they bargained for. Not only is there a Wessen uprising, but they’re recruiting by one mission statement: If you’re not with them, you’re against them and dead.
It’s completely understandable why Wessen is tired of being in the shadows. They weren’t born to be hidden. Much like the other communities, they deserve respect, freedom and equality without fear of persecution. Even though Nick is trying, it’s not enough to be a liaison for peace. Wessen and humans have to figure it out for themselves. The problems kept rolling in during this episode as well. Not only has Trubel informed Nick that there’s a government organization dedicated to stopping the uprising Black Claw. They’re recruiting any and all Grimms and want him!
The Massacre at the Wessen Council meeting shows how dedicated Black Claw is to make sure they are heard once and for all. Alexander narrowly escaped to inform Rosalee of the impending attack on all resistance to the revolution. The best parts of the episode are about to be revealed now. We understand that Juliette survived Trubel’s deadly assault against her, but how did it happen?
Hadrian’s Wall or H.W. saved her right after Trubel shot her with the crossbow. Trubel sets up a meeting with Juliette, now called EVE—right after he and Adalind finish kissing! That’s right, once enemies—now turned potential lovers are discovering feelings for one another, thanks to the bond they share over Kelly.
Eve seems to have gone under some intense reprogramming, as she gave vague answers when Nick interrogates her about the events that led up to his mother’s death and Princess Diana’s kidnapping. She doesn’t shed any light on the events and begins to leave, but not before killing three Black Claw related allies in the restaurant. She seems to have gained stability and ease over her powers, and is using them for the benefit of H.W.
We still don’t know where Meinser took her after they tossed King Frederick in the ocean. Since he’s planning to recruit Grimm, could he use Diana as a bargaining chip to get Nick to cooperate? Maybe. For now, we’re left with several lingering questions that haven’t even been answered from Grimm season 4.
What did Meisner do with Princess Diana after he tossed King Frederick from the helicopter?
When will we see other Grimm appear for Nick to interact with, and will Josh Porter be recruited?
When will the key’s arc return for us to look into?
Is Captain Renard now in line to become King since he only has one brother left standing in line for the throne?
Will a new council be formed and will Rosalee become the head since the former was destroyed?
Will a different sect of Wessen who opposes the Black Claw rise and be led by Rosalee and Monroe or other Wessen?
Stick with us as we explore these questions and many more for the rest of the season and the next episode of Grimm. Don’t forget to tune in and give us your feedback on Twitter!
