***Update 1 – 2015-10-15 – 23:05 CEST***
It seems like I was not 100% correct about Totalbiscuit health situation (I am not a doctor nor an expert on cancer). As I’ve been told that Totalbiscuit suffers from bowel cancer (that´s something, which has been stated before on various threads on the net). And apparently, TB´s bowel cancer has metastasized. In other words, the cancer is now in TB´s blood. So the cancer could spread pretty much everywhere from there (I sure hope that´s not the case…). However, TB will undergo yet another chemotherapy treatment very soon. So all we can do right now is to pray and offer support to TB and his family.
I am also sorry about the confusion regarding TB´s liver. However, It´s true that it was the first place in which TB´s cancer got noticed. Nevertheless, all of this is a huge tragedy on more than one level. So my thoughts and prayers goes to the Bain family.

It´s with a heavy heart and soul that I’m writing this article. Because just now I was informed that Totalbiscuit (John Bain, whose most well-known for his best “WTF is” series on Youtube) has been diagnosed with inoperable cancer (liver cancer). And that Totalbiscuit has been given an average life expectancy is 2-3 years. That last part truly killed me inside, because I really thought that TB had won his fight over cancer. Sadly enough, I was wrong. And this is what TB told his fans and followers via Twitter (twitlonger) earlier today:
“Well, I don’t know if there is really a right way to tell people this, so I guess here goes. The CT did not come back negative. The cancer in the bowel is gone, but spots have appeared in my liver. They’re not operable and there’s no cure. Average life expectancy is 2-3 years, though there are outliers that live much longer. I’ll be back on chemo in a few weeks, with the goal of pushing it back and keeping it there for as long as possible. I fully intend to be the outlier, the average is this way because most people that get this are old and not strong anymore. Who knows what they’ll come up with in the next decade? I intend to beat it for as long as possible. Gonna need some time to process all of this. I don’t really feel anything right now. Thanks.” – John Bain AKA Totalbiscuit
All hope is not gone though. However, we need to help Totalbiscuit to find a liver donor (thus the #TotalLiver hashtag on Twitter). Besides that, I also think it´s really important that we send TB a very clear and positive message that we got his back. So that he doesn´t feel alone in his fight against that fu**ing disease called cancer. Sadly enough, there is one more bad thing that has returned as well. To be exact, I´m talking about trolls and haters, which has already started to make fun of TB´s health condition. I just hope that TB won´t receive death threats yet again (like when TB was at the schema therapy center for cancer treatment).
So it´s really important that we do what we can for TB. Both in terms of finding a liver donor (what blood type does TB have?), and to keep the trolls and haters of his back (the last thing that John needs right now is a lot of negative vibes from haters and trolls). Personally, I have never met or talked to TB in real life. Nevertheless, I have been a fan of his for many years now (the first TB video that I saw was “250,000 subscribers – A feature-length look at the best PC game ever”, that video was uploaded back in 2011). So I will do what I can to help him out, I owe him that much.
With that said, our (The Gaming Ground´s) thoughts and prayers goes to John Bain, his family and friends. Stay strong TB!
