After the successful relaunch of Swedish Game Awards – New Talent earlier this September, the initiative now takes its next major step. On 18 February 2026, at the iconic Berns in Stockholm, the Swedish games industry will gather for a brand-new, premium edition of Swedish Game Awards, dedicated to celebrating the professional creators and studios shaping the game year of 2025.

Together, these two platforms – New Talent and the new Professional Awards – create a complete national ecosystem for celebrating both emerging and established excellence in Swedish game development.
A united industry effort – powered by Sweden’s leading studios

The new edition of SGA is made possible through a historic collaboration between some of Sweden’s most influential and internationally renowned games companies. Paradox Interactive, Arrowhead Game Studios, Fatshark, Epic Games, Embark Studios and DICE have joined forces as Founding Partners, contributing both funding and industry expertise to elevate Swedish Game Awards into a long-term national cultural institution.

To bring the vision to life, the gala is produced in collaboration with Hermes Group, serving as the Premium Event Supplier and ensuring a world-class experience for the entire industry.
From New Talent to Professionals – a natural next step
After the successful relaunch of Swedish Game Awards earlier this year, the initiative now expands. New Talent will continue as its own event later in the year, while the February edition at Berns marks the beginning of a new, premium gala dedicated to the professional creators and studios shaping the game year of 2025.
February 18 at Berns – Sweden’s new national games gala
Hosted in one of Sweden’s most historic cultural venues, the 2026 edition will offer:

A full celebration of the best Swedish games of 2025
Award categories tailored to professional creators and studios
A premium gala experience for the entire industry
A strengthened national platform for innovation and cultural recognition
A unified vision connecting both New Talent and Professionals
Details regarding categories, jury, hosts and program will be unveiled in December.
