The Boston-based (the US) indie games developer Daylight Basement Studio today announced with great thrill and joy that their bullet hell/roguelite/RPG “Rightfully, Beary Arms“, is coming to PC via Steam Early Access on July 27th, 2023.

Join Beary, an adorable yet ferocious teddy, on a quest to obliterate mobs of alien scum invading the galaxy. Employ clever strategies and quick reflexes to furfectly execute plans and take down every foe on Beary’s cosmic crusade. Calculate the perfect route through the stars then pixelate vicious waves of cute, chaotic enemies like Boo Bees, Battery Boys, and not-so-Fun Guys around every corner with a wide array of assault artillery.

Perk up those fuzzy ears and strap in as enemies grow stronger alongside our ursine assassin, with a twist. Beary can carefully choose how extraterrestrials adversaries advance. Will they gain a new alley type? New abilities? Will heath drops occur fewer and farther between? Choose carefully and adjust accordingly!

Assemble an impressive arsenal of weapons worth clawing for, ranging from the FoamBall and Finger Guns to the rainbow laser-spraying Catling Gun. Collect random loot along the way to accrue honey money, wicked weapons, and other crucial boons. Annihilate enemies from one room to the next in tune with an original chiptune metal soundtrack, punctuating each chaotic encounter.

“Rightfully, Beary Arms represents how kids internalize fears, anxieties, and unknowns of the world,” said Chris Bischke, cofounder for Daylight Basement Studio.

“Similar to the mind of a child, some interpretations are literal, some more imaginative, and some lack context entirely. Beary, a stuffed animal in real life, is that kid’s inner warrior and source of strength through self discovery.”
