BORDEAUX, France – September 30, 2026 – Shiro Unlimited today shared the Early Access release date for Northgard Battlegrounds. The city-building auto-battler set in the world of Northgard launches into Steam Early Access on October 27, 2026. The game will have a playable demo during the upcoming Steam Next Fest on October 19 to 26. Shiro Games’ online action RPG Farever also receives a free major update Call to Glory today.

Funday Games, the team behind Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, is adapting the 5-million-selling strategy hit Northgard into a PvP auto-battler: Northgard Battlegrounds. Each round, players expand their Viking settlement—placing buildings, stacking adjacency bonuses, and spending Lore on divine boons to boost their economy and army. Warbands feature classic clan units like Shield Bearers and Axe Throwers, alongside mythical Jötnar, Draugrs, and Wyverns. A playable demo launches October 6, featuring the Raven and Stag clans, 50 structures, 100+ Fate cards, and ranked matchmaking.

The Call to Glory update is now available for all Farever players. It adds Heroic Mode, a dungeon difficulty with tougher enemies, tougher boss mechanics, and better rewards. They include Epic-tier loot, dedicated achievements, and Medals of Glory, a new currency to obtain exclusive items. The update also adds new social and quality-of-life changes, such as Friend and Ignore lists, and ally revival during boss fights. Farever is available now for $19.99 | £16.99 | €19.99 in Steam Early Access.
