I just wanted to update you guys and girls on the situation with the RetroN 5 3-in-1 adapter. So here´s what Hyperkin told me via e-mail just now:

I have some questions for you.
1. When will the adapter be released? And where? (US, UK and the EU?).
2. What will the adapter cost?

In other words, we will have to wait a little bit longer before Hyperkin drops the official launch price and release date of their 3-in-1 adapter.

I truly wish that I could have been at the CES 2017 event, I really do. However, sadly enough I don´t have either the money or the time to be there. Nevertheless, I´m doing my very best to cover the event from a distance instead. Any ways, as I just happen to be a fan of Metal Jesus Rocks. I couldn´t help to notice one of his tweets about CES 2017. You see, apparently Metal Jesus spotted a 3-in-1 adapter for the Retron 5 console at the CES 2017 event (as seen in the picture down below).

To my knowledge, the price and release date is yet to be known.

So, why am I and Metal Jesus so exited about this particular 3-in-1 adapter? Well, it´s simply because it allows you (and me) to play Game Gear, Master System cartridges and card games on the Retron 5 console. That´s great news with no doubt. However, at this time there is no launch price or release date for the 3-in-1 adapter (my guess would be 20-25 USD per unit). Nevertheless, I´m still very much interested in this product. That´s also why I have reached out to Hyperkin for more information. So please stay tuned for more information!
