The France-based indie games publisher Hatinh Interactive and Portugal-based indie games developer Nerd Monkeys today announced with great delight and excitement that their award-winning hand-drawn puzzle platformer “Out of Line” will be a part of Steam Next Fest 2021 from June 16th to June 22nd.

A free demo will be available for the first time as part of the celebration. Inspired by Studio Ghibli, the title illustrates protagonist San’s quest for identity as he attempts to escape a cruel factory controlled by a strange and ominous entity. Out of Line launches next week on June 23 for PC via Steam and other PC games stores, and on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year.

As players use San’s spear to climb walls, activate switches, operate platforms, halt machinery and more, they’ll recover fragments of the young man’s memory and stitch together an emotional story of oppression, courage, and hope. Out of Line will be a playable art piece that encourages fans to think deeply about their own identity as they assist San in forming his own.

Out of Line will be available on PC via Steam and other PC games stores next week on June 23. A free Steam demo will be available from June 16 until June 22. The game launches on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer.
