I have to say that this Friday has been uber great so far. Because it´s not everyday that the folks from ManaVoid Entertainment decides to contact you. But that was the case for me (us). And that´s how i found out that ManaVoid is working on a Fantasy/RPG Tycoon game called “Epic Manager“.

So what kind of game is Epic Manager then? Well, it has been described as” the lovechild of Dungeons & Dragons and Football Manager”.

Epic Manager aims to collect 30,000 CAD within 14 days from now.

And that´s a pretty rad combination, don´t you think? Here´s the thing though. Epic Manager needs to collect 30,000 CAD via Kickstarter within 14 days from now. But due the fact that Epic Manager has already collected over 21,000 CAD so far, I´m quite sure that ManaVoid Entertainment will reach their Kickstarter goal on time.

Me, personally. I really like Epic Manager. I mean, it´s a pretty uniq concept.

What is Epic Manager?
Epic Manager is a unique 2D Strategy Fantasy RPG and Tycoon Game for PC, Mac and Linux that,for the first time ever, let’s you create your own Adventuring Agency! The game has already been described by Rock, Paper, Shotgun, as the lovechild of Dungeons &Dragons and Football Manager.

Indeed, Epic Manager features the roster management & character progression of games like Disgaea or Final Fantasy Tactics, narrative choices & consequences in the beloved traditionof game books series such as Choose your own Adventure or Fighting Fantasy, the epic scope of grand strategy games like Crusader Kings 2 or a Lord of the Rings novel, as well as the humoristic tone of the Princess Bride all in one awesome package!

For the first time ever, you can create your very own Adventuring Agency and manage it as if you were a professional sports team general manager. Scout for prospects, hire adventurers, train them and form parties, send them on quests, deal with random encounters, fight frantic battles and experience an epic narrative shaped your choices!

What do you mean by ”Indie Game Icons” will be featured in your game?
Our game was going to be heavy on the cultural references for fantasy and gaming, all while keeping a light humoristic tone. So we reached out to some of our fellow indie game developers and they’ve given us permission to feature some of their characters in our game! So far, we’ve announced:

– The Chroma Squad (Behold Studios)

We’ve even obtained permission to feature Vaelin al Sorna, the main character from Anthony Ryan’s bestselling fantasy novel, Blood Song!

What are the platforms your game will be on once released?
Initially, we’ll be launching the game on PC, Mac & Linux, but our intention is also to have a mobile version of the game released on Android and IOS. Should we reach our stretch goals on Kickstarter, we’ll also be releasing Epic Manager for PS4, Xbox One and WiiU.

When will Epic Manager be available?
The project’s Kickstarter campaign has officially launched on Monday, October 27th, 2014. The game itself should be available in Q4 of 2015, with early access a few months before that.
